As Draco and his dragons explored the surrounding area of the pools and falls, leading towards the cave-- Helios continued to fly overhead to find a fun outcropping to look from. He soon came to one part of the mountainside, finding an odd series of rocks. The eager Charizard began to climb over the rocks-- till one began to move. He gave a startled growl as he hopped off it, revealing to be a sleeping Turtornator. THe odd shape dragon-turtle growled sleepily as it regarded Helios on its back. The two dragons began to growl and snarl at one another. Before long, the turtle strove to go back to sleep. Not willing to be ignored, Helios snorted and gave a Flamethrower at the turtle-- a fight easily sparked by the savage Charizard. [break][break] However, the shell was a better defense and only heated it up. As if to brush him off, the turtle mearly bashed him with his shell-- sending Charizard off the side of the cliff. [break][break] Helious gave a stunned shout but soon unfurled his wings. With a grumpy snort, he resumed his flight to explore the mountainous region. [break][break] Meanwhile, Draco and Nimbus found a large waterfall. The path ended there the waterfall blocked them. Draco looked around, hoping there was another way to get around. "No easy way to climb higher or go further. Think the dragon pokemon here just fly to get around? Wish Helios didn't leave us behind like that..." Draco growled with his arms across his chest. [break][break] However, his Drampa, Grampa Nimbus-- knew where to look. The elderly friendly dragon marched forward to the falls, catching Draco's attention. With a sniff at the waterfall, Nimbus walked right into the water-- and through it, vanishing from sight. A classic cave behind the waterfall. [break][break]

The two emerge from the falls, and began to explore the cavern. Several more waterways, falls and caves branched out in this large wonder. Draco had to admit, it was an impressive and far more complicated than the valley mountains where Draco and his Pokemon had lived in years ago. It was new, and exciting. Draco felt he could really settle here among his family. [break][break] However-- they got a bad greeting by a Haxorus as it reared its head from around a boulder. It let out a sharp and loud growl-- trying to intimidate the dragons. Draco's Drampa didn't flinch much by it- and gave a friendly grunt of a hello. Sadly, the more aggitated Haxorus wasn't welcoming as it let out a sharp roar, echoing in the cave as it got ready to attack. Ceto on Draco's neck constricted a little-- scared by the violent looking dragon type. Draco raised a hand to calm his companion but grew a furious glare at the angry dragon. "We don't want trouble with you. We just are looking for a place to stay. Don't make this hard..."[break][break] The dragon then charged, attempting to use its axe-like horns to strike. Luckily, Nimbus was quick to act as it soon lurched forward. With its big wings, it coiled them around himself and Draco-- protecting them. The Haxorus bounced off the 'soft' wings, dampening the sharp attack. While the block was successful, Drampa let out a sad grown-- the sharp horns hurting its wings a little. [break][break] Draco snarled at this. "HELIOS!!" Draco roared out loud, calling his Charizard from outside. Luckily, his echo reached him. Through one of the skyward openings in the cavern, Helios dove in and saw the attacking Haxorus from above. With a sharp inhale, the Charizard roared and released a colored blast of light-- a Dragon's Breath! The blast hit from above, and dealt a serious blow to the Haxorus, stopping the attack. THe strike did severe damage, as the dragon move was critical to other dragons-- in an ironic change. Helios landed with a loud thud on the ground-- protecting Draco and the others. [break][break] Haxorus shook its head, and soon let out a vicious roar-- deciding to come in for another attack. Charizard snarled back, almost anticipating its fury. [break][break] "Helios! Use Dracon Claw!" Draco ordered. Helios' claws suddenly glowed and jutted out that same dragonic energy. The two dragons soon collided-- Draco using his arms and claws to catch the Haxorus' with its own. THe two glared at one another, the spirit of two fighters. THey were locked in combat. "Now-- Fire Fang!" Helios' maw ignited with fire as he dove his head over and bit hard into the Haxorus' neck-- dealing a strong blow. [break][break]
The Haxorus cried out and backed off, clearly having taken enough damage to be in a state of less aggression. It growled in defense as Helios stayed there, not pressing the attack. [break][break] While Helios was eager to keep battling-- Draco soon stepped out of his protection and slowly approached the dragon. Though injured by its desire to battle, Draco didn't raise any fear or anger as he sternly walked forward towards the Haxorus. "That's enough. There is no more need to fight. You are strong, and I can see us getting along if you choose to." he said, firmly but plainly. He soon approached the dragon, unflinching in the face of the beast. He soon was a foot away, before the Haxorus roared and tried to make him flinch-- yet Draco never did. He looked up at its eyes, unafraid as he waited there. [break][break] After a moment, the Haxorus looked calm-- surprised by Draco's courage. He soon held out an empty hand, extended to the dragon's head. In the other, he held an empty Pokeball, the intent to win it over. After a few moments, the Haxorus lowered its head and touched Draco's extended hand. It submitted to him and his courage. Draco then touched it with the Pokeball-- and Haxorus soon vanished inside it. [break][break] While not the warmest of welcomes-- Draco had found a new place to call home with his Pokemon, as well as a new and powerful ally.
